One Of The Best Museum In Jakarta, Museum MACAN
It's been a while since I'm not blogging! So, last week I went to Museum MACAN with my friends. It takes around 2 hours from my place, so I have to wake up earlier because I have to take a commuter-line.
The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Nusantara (Museum MACAN) is the first institution of public access to significant and growing collection of modern and contemporary art from Indonesia and around the world. Theme of the first exhibition is Art Turns. World Turns. This exhibition marks the first public outing of the Museum's Collection. Art Turns. World Turns, is a snapshot of 90 artworks from a collection of nearly 800 works.
Art Turns. World Turns, start from November 4th 2017 - March 18th 2018.

[ Don't lose your ticket ! ]

The artwork in here show how artist reflect on their times, and how they make art as way for people to see the world around them in different ways. So, here some of their artworks:
[ Juling (2005) - I Nyoman Masriadi ]
[ A Father is Trying to Collect the Memories of His Family (2016) - I Dewa Ngakan Made Ardana ]
And, don't forget to see, one of the most popular artwork in here, this is Infinity Mirrored Room by Yayoi Kusama.
In this museum you can also go to the café, if you want to drink something. But, we don't go to there because we don't have much time (we want to go to somewhere else). If you have more time and want to enjoy more, I suggest you to chill a bit with your friends there. Because the atmosphere is good.
The Children's Art Space is a dedicated area for children within the Museum. The installation there incorporates artworks, murals, and education activities that explore ideas of "Floating Gardens". And, you can take a picture there even tho you're not children anymore lol.
So, what are you waiting for? If you have a free time or want to have me-time, just make sure you go to there and enjoy all the artworkS. Follow the rules, respect the artist and the staff, be calm, don't eat or drink in the exhibition, and don't use flash. Have a good time!
Peace Out,
qiis.
