#TripToBandung: Day 1 - Jkt to Bdg
[ August 30th 2018 ]
For the first time, I allowed going on vacation with friends. Previously, our plan was to go to Malang but because of the situation (money and everything), we finally decided to go to Bandung as our vacation destination. Because we took the morning train, I stayed at my friend's house and later we all left for Gambir station. We left at 3 am and arrived at 4 am.
The train we used was Argo Parahyangan at 5 am from Gambir station and arrived at Bandung station around 8-9 am. The price for one ticket is around Rp. 80000 / person / 1x road.
The train is quite comfortable, only the legs that I think are too narrow. Maybe also because this is an economy class. The chair is 2-2 and cannot be rotated. The storage area is quite spacious and there is a TV.
Because of the morning train, so the atmosphere is quite quiet because most of them choose to sleep. But, I decided to enjoy the scenery while eating snacks to prop up a hunger. The view during the trip, in my opinion, is very, very dear to miss. Many stretches of rice fields and hills are rarely found in cities.
Then we decided to eat but unfortunately, there was nothing interesting so we ate at the Padang restaurant (thrifty and the price was definitely obedient!). My advice, if you arrive in Bandung in the morning it would be nice to bring your own food.
Then, we decided to go straight to the inn. Our inn is not too far away but it is not too close to the city centre. Later I will review the atmosphere where I stayed in the next post.
After bathing, and sleeping (because somehow our body feels tired). We decided to have dinner and take a walk around Asia Africa Road. Near there happened to be many food bazaars and some clothes. We finally decided to eat at one of the outdoor dining venues (the type is a kind of kiosk) which was quite crowded. The choice of dishes is varied and the price is quite reasonable. Of course, the taste of this food is also delicious.
After that, we walked until we found the Bandung Grand Mosque! And, because it was rainy this afternoon, the mosque's grass was quite wet but it made the atmosphere cool. Even though it was late, but in fact, there were still many who came to just sit around or run around this area.
Overnight, we decided to take a short walk and almost stray into the market. Market conditions are also empty and make us doubt. But, finally, we saw Sudirman street (where we entered the door). In that area there are many photo spots and many places to eat, only if you are Muslim, there are not many snacks that are present.
There are several sellers who sell pork and alcoholic drinks. So, be smart just look for it. Because there is no coffee shop or cafe open. We decided to go home (especially the hour had already arrived at 10 pm) and it was not far from where we were staying.
I immediately changed my clothes and went to bed because the body felt quite sore. I also intentionally went to sleep faster so I could rest because tomorrow, we just started walking.
Peace out, Qiis.
